Wordnerds are thrilled to announce that our nomination for Innovator of the Year has been shortlisted in Dynamites 19 IT and Technology Awards list - honouring the best tech talent in the North East.
The nominations were shortlisted by a judging panel of big names in the North East tech scene - including Cloud Atlas CEO Pete Watson, DWP Digital’s Lead Product Owner Fay Cooper and Gateshead College’s Assistant Principal Deni Chambers.
This is Wordnerds first award nomination for 2019, and follows growing recognition we have received in the last 12 months - including securing investment, pitch success with World Rail Festival’s 2018 Start-up Innovators of the Year award, and winning Thinking Digital’s Startup competition, to being selected for Tech Nation’s prestigious AI Programme.
Dynamites 19 is the sixth annual awards ceremony from Dynamo North East, a volunteer led group set up with the core mission to ‘Grow the North East IT Economy’ through collaboration, innovation, skills.
The Innovator award category, which is sponsored by Connect Health, is for a person, team or organisation that has “developed disruptive technology that will shake up our industry or a ground-breaking product or service that creates a completely new industry.”

The nomination for innovator of the year follows Wordnerds official launch year, where we have we have embarked upon a journey that takes a completely fresh approach to intelligent listening and automated text understanding, working with large brands like Tommee Tippee, Northumbrian Water and various Universities and rail companies.
